Our Mission: To provide and maintain the highest level of quality and compassionate care to the members we serve through contracts wtih various health plans.
St. Francis Health Network is a nonprofit corporation that unites St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers, affiliated physicians and ancillary health services providers to make quality managed care available for the residents of south central Indiana.
The Network contracts with a variety of health plans, including HMOs, PPOs, and directly with employers. St. Francis Health Network physicians care for thousands of members in various health plans and members of the state’s Hoosier Healthwise program.
Network staff members collaborate with physicians and hospital personnel to monitor the quality of care provided to patients. They also seek to ensure the appropriate use of hospital services and pharmaceuticals, and they provide ongoing education to physicians and physicians’ office staff.
Most physicians are aware that the St. Francis Health Network is governed by a Board of Directors and guided by the Professional Services and Finance & Operations committees. The members of these three entities are representatives of the St. Francis Hospital administration, SFHN physicians and medical director, plus citizens of the community from areas of human resources and health benefits.
