Medical Mission Grants

Many health care professionals at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers choose to further the mission of the hospital and the Sisters by ministering around the world. 

Through international medical outreach, individuals are able to help some of the world’s neediest people—the poor, the disabled and the aged. Caring for individuals with a holistic approach is an important part of our Franciscan values. St. Francis employees and physicians have traveled to numerous countries, doing their good deeds, including;

• Columbia     
• Costa Rica
• Cuba
• Dominican Republic
• Ecuador
• El Salvador
• Guatemala
• Haiti
• Honduras
• Mexico
• Nicaragua
• Nigeria
• Philippines.

Funding for medical mission trips is granted through the St. Francis Physician Mission Endowment. If you plan to participate in a medical mission during the coming year, please complete and submit the application below.

Grants are reviewed and awarded two times per year. Applications must be completed and submitted to the St. Francis Healthcare Foundation by May 1 and Nov. 1. The Physician Medical Mission Committee reviews applications and selects the recipients.
