Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring
|
Summary: Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring allows the physician to learn what a patient's blood sugar is continuously over a three-day period of time. The patient wears a monitor for three days, which continuously records the blood sugar levels. The physician can use this information to determine how to deal with difficult medication dosage adjustments or to discover what may be causing certain problems such as periods of hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia.
Designed for: Adults with diabetes
Location: All classes and individual instruction are offered either at the St. Francis Diabetes & Endocrinology Center near St. Francis Hospital—Indianapolis or in the St. Francis Education Center.
Cost: May be covered by your insurance company. A physician's referral may be required.
