Spiritual Care
|
At St. Francis we believe that your spiritual and emotional well-being contributes to your healing. That's why the Spiritual Care staff is available to address your needs. The staff includes chaplains from Catholic and several Protestant faiths. Your clergy is welcome to visit you at any time as well. If you indicated a particular church affiliation when you were admitted, the Spiritual Care office will notify your church or house of worship.
Catholic Services
Daily Mass is held in the St. Clare Chapel at the Beech Grove Campus at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. It is televised daily on the Peace Channel. You must obtain your physician's permission to leave your unit to attend services.
Please specify at which location you are requesting spiritual care. It is available at all three campuses. Communion is available to patients daily. Please notify your nurse if you wish to receive Communion or the Sacrament of the Sick.
Protestant Services
Sacraments in the Protestant tradition are available upon request. A monthly interfaith service is held on the second Sunday of the month in Hamachek Center on the Beech Grove campus.
