Insulin Administration

Description: Insulin Administration is offered on an individual basis for patients who must take insulin to control their blood sugar levels. Patients are taught how to correctly measure and inject insulin. Topics include how insulin works and how to store insulin, signs, prevention and treatment of hypoglycemia.

Designed for: Adults with diabetes

Location: All classes and individual instruction are offered either at the St. Francis Diabetes & Endocrinology Center near St. Francis Hospital—Indianapolis or in the St. Francis Education Center.

Cost: May be covered by your insurance company. A physician’s referral may be required.
