Description: Diabetes Education for Life features a number of topics for adults with diabetes, including:

• Prevention, detection and treatment of high and low blood sugar
• Treatment of high and low blood sugar
• Nutrition, exercise
• Diabetes medications
• Use of over-the-counter medications
• Blood glucose monitoring
• Foot care
• How to deal with sick days and much more

Location: All classes and individual instruction are offered either at the St. Francis Diabetes & Endocrinology Center near St. Francis Hospital—Indianapolis or in the St. Francis Education Center.

Cost: May be covered by your insurance company. A physician’s referral may be required.
